The 6th Annual TEPR Awards Recognized 19 Outstanding Healthcare Information System Solutions

The TEPR awards selection process has two phases. The first phase took place during March and April of 2005 when an independent panel of judges reviewed the TEPR Award applications, scored each entry, and selected the top three finalists for each category.

The second phase of the Awards process took place on Sunday, May 15th when the finalists presented/demonstrated their solutions to a panel of independent judges. First, Second and Third Honors were then determined in each category. The TEPR Award winners were officially recognized and announced later that evening at the Exhibit Hall Reception.

The Pediatric Awards finalists presented their solutions separately from the finalists in the other 6 categories, as well as had a separate set of judges. These vendors presented their solutions to TEPR judges on Wednesday, May 18 from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The winners were announced immediately following their presentations.

“During the last five years, healthcare providers have often told MRI that they look to the TEPR Awards to help them identify the healthcare IT solutions which offer them the greatest value,” noted Jeff Blair, Vice President of the Medical Records Institute

When Treating a Cold extra fluids are recommended
Since it is caused by a virus, antibiotics do not work against the common cold. Extra fluids, a cool mist humidifier, and rest will likely help with some of his symptoms. Younger children, since they can't blow their nose, may benefit from using saline nasal drops and a bulb syringe to help keep their nasal passages clear.
